Job is a very interesting book. I have been intrigued by what I would call the three dimensional nature of the book. In this book we can discern a heavenly dimension, an earthly dimension, and a collision of the heavenly and the earthly. Each of these three dimensions is an important angle from which to read and understand the book of Job. In fact, one can’t understand the book of Job without understanding these three angles. All three angles provide important pastoral insight into the issue of suffering. In the next three posts I will meditate on each of these dimensions.
